Péter Magyar Compares Roma "Origin Myth" to the Hungarian Legend of the Miraculous Stag

Péter Magyar recently announced on his official YouTube channel that he launched a new public forum series titled "Roma for Our Homeland." Magyar himself spoke at the forum, as did Kriszta Bódis, also known by her nickname "Sleeping Beauty."

(Péter Magyar, a former Fidesz insider, founded the Tisza Party, which is allegedly the latest globalist-backed “opposition” group in Hungary. Kriszta Bódis is a writer and radical activist pushing divisive agendas. She penned Csipke Józsika, a blatant LGBTQ propaganda piece glorifying deviant gender roles, rightly provoking widespread outrage. Her fanciful tales are absurdly unfit for dictating real-world family values or policy. Hence the jab, “Sleeping Beauty.”)

Magyar began his remarks with a so-called "origin myth," which he claimed belongs to the Gypsies. He compared Gypsies to free, wandering birds, saying modern-day Gypsies believe they will one day "become" these beautiful birds. According to him, this belief explains why Gypsies "don't bother saving money." He called the story “so poetic” that it could be compared to the Hungarian legend of the Miraculous Stag that led the ancient Magyars to their homeland (editor’s note: a comparison so absurd that no self-respecting Hungarian would take seriously).

Magyar went on to accuse Prime Minister Viktor Orbán of viewing the Gypsy community solely as a pool of votes. However, Magyar’s delusional events, where the everyday problems between the Gypsies and the Hungarians are ignored, serve the same empty political purpose. He also remarked, “We cannot allow Roma children to be excluded from quality education due to segregation.”

What went unmentioned, of course, was why this so-called segregation happens in the first place. Nor was there any reference to the fact that it's also a form of segregation when families who want their children to receive a decent education are forced to send them to schools in other towns because their local schools are overwhelmed by disruptive and aggressive students.

Magyar closed his speech with the Gypsy phrase, "Távesz báktáló"—which roughly means "Good luck."
