Toroczkai: "We Will Never Forget the Desecration of Hungarian Graves in the Úz Valley Military Cemetery!"

Translation of an article originally published in Hungarian by Magyar Jelen on May 10, 2025.

"The Romanian AUR party was founded in 2019, fueled by anti-Hungarian sentiment. We will never forget the desecration of Hungarian graves! Equally unacceptable is that George Simion advocates redrawing borders to annex Moldova to Romania, expanding an already large nation, while persecuting those who seek autonomy for Transylvania or the Székely Land. AUR leaders cannot be allies of Hungarians until they clearly shift their policies and support Hungarians with tangible actions!" – László Toroczkai on X.

(Editor’s note: On June 6, 2019, a mob of Romanian chauvinists forcibly entered the military cemetery in the Úz Valley, Transylvania. They broke through a gate and vandalized Hungarian graves by smashing wooden crosses and reinforcing illegally placed concrete crosses with Romanian Orthodox symbols. George Simion visited the cemetery on May 17, 2019, and made provocative anti-Hungarian remarks that escalated tensions and contributed to this vile incident.)

Although AUR occasionally voices criticism of globalism that might seem appealing, Toroczkai stressed that allying with them would betray Hungarian communities in Transylvania, a historic region of Romania with a significant ethnic Hungarian population. He then directed the following message "to the attention of Viktor Orbán, who seems to be cozying up to Simion":

"We need global cooperation against the globalists, but not with those who desecrate Hungarian cemeteries."

Toroczkai also took aim at Péter Magyar, a former Fidesz crony now heading Hungary’s globalist political opposition, writing:

"Regarding Péter Magyar, who now claims to support ethnic Hungarians abroad amid the Orbán–Simion political alignment, just check his Facebook page, amplified by Meta's algorithm. Right after expressing concern for Hungarians living beyond our borders, he echoes the most extreme globalist talking points on Ukraine. This is the same group that has never lifted a finger for the rights of Hungarian minorities torn from their homeland and actively opposes all forms of national identity and European sovereignty."

Toroczkai proceeded to identify Péter Magyar’s political allies, whom he accuses of preaching peace while recently visiting Kiev to pledge more weapons and European financial aid to President Zelensky. According to Toroczkai, they include:

  • Friedrich Merz, current German chancellor candidate and former chairman and lobbyist for BlackRock.
  • Emmanuel Macron, French president and former banker with the Rothschild banking house.
  • Keir Starmer, British prime minister, who once worked for the International Revolutionary Marxist Movement.
  • Donald Tusk, Polish prime minister and former president of the European Council.

Toroczkai says what also binds them together is their strategy of imprisoning their own people’s sons just for criticizing immigration, while banning or jailing political opponents who become more popular than they are.

"They're the kind of leaders who send their own citizens to prison over a comment critical of immigration, and when their political opponents start gaining more support than they do, they ban them or throw them in jail," he wrote.

"They do all this in the name of democracy. They don’t represent the people, but their masters, the international financiers. Expecting them to solve the problems of Hungarians in the Carpathian Basin is just as misguided as trusting Kriszta Bódis, the author of Csipke Józsika, with child-rearing or family policy."

(Editor’s note: Kriszta Bódis is a writer and radical activist pushing divisive agendas. She penned Csipke Józsika, a blatant LGBTQ propaganda piece glorifying deviant gender roles, rightly provoking widespread outrage. Her fanciful tales are absurdly unfit for dictating real-world family values or policy.)

The post ends with that comparison.
